Now that I know, what's next?
March 2, 2022
You can read the original post here about how I found out that I'm dealing with Lyme Disease.  This page is for updates about my journey to healing.  I'll share about what I'm doing to heal the lyme disease.  This is all about supplements, healthy eating, clean air and water...everything that is a part of a healthier lifestyle.

When I first found out about the Lyme disease, my practitioner showed me a "roadmap" that we will take to get my body healthy again.  She gave me supplements for phase 1 to help open up the drainage ways.
The supplements included:
  • Lact-Enz (Enzyme Digestion Support)
  • Zypan (Enzyme Digestion Support)
  • Bio-Toxin Binder (Microbiome & Detox Support)
  • Symplex F (Supports Female Health)
I had just started taking some liquid collagen (1 week before my first appointment when I got the news), along with a trebiotic and some aloe juice.  My practitioner agreed that they were all great things for me to be using during this path to wellness.  This especially became evident when I read in "Healing Lyme" by Stephen Harrod Buhner that "if you protect the collagen structures of the body, the symptom picture begins to disappear."  This is because the bacteria (borrelial) that causes Lyme Disease feeds mainly on collagen-like tissues throughout the body.  You better believe I'm going to want one of the best collagen sources out there to help my body fight this one!

My first follow-up appointment was yesterday. We are ready to move on to Phase 2!!  This means it's time to work on those pesky parasites.  We are getting my body prepped, but the real magic will happen on the full moon.  Why the full moon?  Because that's when they are most active.  People see amazing results when they do it this way. I can't wait!!
Supplements:
  • Zypan (Enzyme Digestion Support)
  • Bio-Toxin Binder (Microbiome & Detox Support)
  • Symplex F (Supports Female Health)
  • Manganese B12
  • Para 3 (Immune & Digestive Support) starting March 8
* I do NOT share my specific doses.  This is something that should be discussed between you and your trusted healthcare provider.  I only make note of these for your personal research and to help you know a direction to take with your healthcare provider, should you need it.
More about air & water
Sub headline. Please replace with the text you'd like.
To help cleanse the air, it was suggested that we use an air purifier in our house.  Thankfully we had one on hand already.  Time to clean up that filter and get it running!
If you have nasty city water (like we do) then you really should look into a shower filter.  This is the one we opted for.  We noticed differences after just one use!
Here's how it works:
  • Sand filter ⏤ Blocks large sediments like limescale and sand from entering the filtration showerhead
  • Ultra-fine stainless steel mesh ⏤ Captures medium-sized sediments
  • Micro-porous PP cotton ⏤ Traps small sediments, dust, and turpitudes in water
  • Calcium sulfite ⏤ Lowers the concentration of chlorine in both hot and cold water
  • Redox media ⏤ Decreases scale and reduces chlorine
  • Activated carbon ⏤ Helps lessen the amount of chlorine, THMs, and other impurities
  • Micro-porous PP cotton ⏤ Prevents filtration substances or captured sediments from leaving the shower water purifier
  • Ultra-fine stainless steel mesh — Keeps the micro-porous cotton filter in place and prevents the entry of medium-sized sediments into the filtration unit when the cartridge is turned upside down
As a female...
Men, you may wish to skip this part if you don't like details on how a woman's body responds during certain phases.

I was 42 years old when I found out about the Lyme Disease.  When I first went to the practitioner in Feb 2022, I hadn't had a period in about 5 months, since Sept 2021.  Though I felt I was a bit young for peri-menopause, I assumed that's what it was because it can happen, it just isn't typical.  My periods started changing around the time I was 40.  They were anywhere from 10-14 days long, then I would have maybe a 2 week break before the next one.  This may or may not be related to the Lyme Disease (especially since we don't know how long I've had it), but I'm making note of it just to give the background for what happens from here on out.

I started on Symplex F: Supports Female Health, on Feb 15, 2022.  It's one of the supplements my practitioner had me start to help with my peri-menopause symptoms.  I was having mild hot flashes, the aches and emotions that go along with a period without actually having the menstrual flow.  I was feeling blocked.  Turns out, she also noticed the blockage when she did the muscle testing.  Yep, you guessed it...parasites and lyme disease in my ovaries and uterus.  That explains a lot!

On Feb 23, 2022, I started spotting again.  This lasted until about March 2 when my period decided to really show up...full force.  It also came with headaches, weakness, light headedness, and alllll the extra aches in my hips and pelvic area.  It has been super heavy (like 4-5 times what my heavy days were before).  I'm taking this as a good sign that my body is having a good cleanse so that the rest of this process of removing the lyme disease can be even more effective.

Things are Getting Better!
March 9, 2021
Yesterday was the first day in a long time that I didn't have to fight to keep my eyes open while making supper.  Yep, the struggle has been real!  There were days where I literally had to fight to keep my eyes open.  So crazy!  But I realized later in the evening that I didn't have that problem.  On top of that, I wasn't falling asleep just waiting to go to bed.  Those are 2 major times of day that I fight sleep.

Today was another day of "wow" in that department.  We have co-op on Wednesdays until noon. I'm normally flat out exhausted for the rest of the day.  This afternoon I didn't feel it so bad.  Now it's time to make dinner and, yes, I'm tired and starting to feel it more, but that's a good 5-6 hours longer than I normally make it.  Hooray for success!!

What's helped with these changes?  I can't say exactly, but I can tell you this...I've been using liquid collagen and aloe juice for a month (today!).  I've also been on the supplements listed above for about 3 weeks now.  To say I'm excited about these small changes is an understatement!
Now Completing Phase 3!
May 11, 2022
I'm not 100% sure when we moved from one phase to the next, but I asked yesterday where we are on the chart and she said we are finishing up phase 3.  You can read the full update on the visit by clicking the button below.

Keep Up To Date!

So that this section doesn't become an endless stream of information, I have created separate pages for the different areas I'm covering.  You can find a button at the end of each section as well as a tab/menu bar at the top of the page.  All updated information will be on the corresponding pages.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.  I pray it is helpful to you and/or your loved ones.
